Technology
McLeod ISD believes technology can be a very beneficial tool to further enhance your child's education. Here is the ways we currently utilized technology in the district:
Elementary Campus
All elementary classrooms have adequate iPads and computers to reinforce what the teachers are teaching that day. We utilize award winning reading, writing, and math software that is tailored to fit any student's learning style and speed.
Middle School Campus
Middle school students have access to a computer lab with 25 computers. Teachers are able to take their whole classes in and use any of the many software options we have available for them. Also, all middle school classrooms have chromebooks that the teachers can use without having to remove the students from the room. The chromebooks are very fast, simple computers that allow students to complete any assignment that is assigned to them electronically.
High School Campus
High school students have access to a computer lab with 25 computers that has access to Adobe, Microsoft, or any web based software that the district utilizes. High school students are highly encouraged to check-out chromebooks to use during the year to help complete assignments. Most teachers assign work through them and having a chromebook that the students can take home helps them complete these assignments. In order for high school students to check-out a chromebook, they must fill out the required form, which is available below.
Campus Wide
All classrooms are equipped with projectors, document cameras and interactive whiteboards. Wifi is available in every building for district resources to be able to connect to the internet.
